Wil Armstrong
Wil Armstrong is an entrepreneur and small businessman. His business background includes technology, mortgage banking, and commercial banking.
As an active community member, Wil has served on many community and non-profit boards and has volunteered in many political campaigns. In 2008, Wil acted on his core belief that our country needs more citizen legislators and set aside his own business interests to run in the Republican primary for Congress. His second place finish was marked by his ability to inspire grassroots activists and to raise money in the political arena.
He is presently the CEO of Blueberry Systems, a software development and consulting firm aimed at solving business problems related to data management and application integration.In May of 2007, Wil was elected to the board of directors of Colorado Community Bank, a $400 million (assets) commercial bank. He was recently named Vice Chairman the bank’s holding company, Washington Investment Company.
He remains active as the Chairman of Cherry Creek Mortgage Company, a top 50 retail residential mortgage banker nationally. Inc. magazine ranked the company as one of the 500 Fastest Growing Private Company in America in both 1993 and 1994. Wil served in the executive management of this company from January of 1992 until early 2004.
Wil was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association in August 2006 for his innovation and respected business ventures. He was also recognized by the Denver Business Journal in 2005 as one of the 40 Under 40 outstanding local professionals for his business success and community contributions.
Wil and his wife Kristy have three children (Elisabeth, Kathryn, and Jack) and live in Greenwood Village, Colorado. The family attends Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church.
