Cheri Carsten served 7 years in the US Army as a communications specialist, and as a Staff Sergeant in the Equal Opportunity and Organizational Development programs. She then worked for the Army and the Department of Defense as an Organizational Effectiveness Staff officer. This led to a career in corporate Human Resources management and leadership/management development. She worked in several large and small organizations including, Prudential Bank, EnRoute Card USA, a subsidiary of Air Canada, A & A Insurance Brokerage, Vectra Nuclear Engineering, and First Interstate Bank.
Cheri is a graduate of The University of Maryland and LPR Alum, class of 2007. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the LPR Ambassador Program and is a member of the LPR Advisory Council. She is also the Vice President of Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Greeley, Colorado.
Cheri had her first career as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army serving in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. working as a Communications Specialist. After active duty, Cheri went to work for the Department of Defense in Germany and D.C., specializing in Organizational Effectiveness.
In her second career, Cheri worked as a Senior Human Resources Management Executive. Cheri’s expertise in leadership and management skills were highly sought after by several large corporations including Prudential Bank and En Route Card USA, a subsidiary of Air Canada.
She spends significant amounts of her time serving as the President of Trinity Lutheran Church and School, where she has been a member since birth. Cheri works with Honor Flight of Northern Colorado as an Assistant Volunteer Coordinator, as well as serving as Ex Officio Board Member of the Steamboat Institute. Cheri is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
