What is the time commitment of the program?
The classes are held the second Friday of the month from October to June. The classes are from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. followed by an optional happy hour. You will be asked to do some outside reading and work for the class over the course of the nine months.
What is the cost of the program?
The tuition rate for the 2023-24 class is $2,495. Since LPR is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we have been fortunate to have a Board of Directors who make large financial contributions to subsidize the cost of the program. The full cost of the program to LPR is $6,500 per person.
Are full scholarships offered?
No. However, partial scholarships are offered on a competitive basis.
How likely am I to get a partial scholarship?
If you are interested in being considered for a partial scholarship, you need to indicate so on your application under the “Financial Obligation section.” You will also need to include a letter with your application explaining why you should be considered for a scholarship.
What will I get out of LPR?
You will get out of LPR as much as you put into it. You will have the opportunity to network with sixty-five high caliber class members from around the state of Colorado, including leaders from the business, legal, education, healthcare, and political communities. You will also be exposed to a large network of LPR graduates. You will have the opportunity to learn from many renowned thought leaders about the critical elements of freedom; including, individual rights, the proper role of government, activating and engaging citizens, and more. You will also have the opportunity to examine in-depth the timeless principles of our Founding Fathers and our Constitution, and be intellectually challenged by experts in these areas.
I see that I need 2 letters of recommendation. Who should write my letters of recommendation?
You should select two people who can elaborate on your leadership skills, leadership potential, character, sphere of influence, etc.
Do I need to have a nomination form filled out for my application?
No, it is not required that you are nominated for the program in order to apply.
When are applications due?
Applications are due no later than August 31, 2023.
